Hello Technicians and Contractors,

Welcome to ItsAboutQ a service of HVACRedu.net, an Online HVAC & Home Performance technical education program. ItsAboutQ is funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.

We are the Crew at HVACRedu.net. Let us help you understand how this program works.

Goal: Increase the number of NATE C3 Contractors in the Southern California Edison service area. A NATE C3 Contractor has at least 50% of their crew NATE Certified. NATE C3 contractors will then qualify to take advantage of the Southern California Edison customer rebate program which can provide up to an additional $1,250 customer rebate incentive. Everything a technician needs to prepare for the NATE Certification exams is available right here, online, at your convenience and schedule. You are on the right track, we have been helping HVAC Technicians become NATE certified and achieve other industry licenses and certifications for over a decade. If you are willing to do the study we are ready to get you there!

First Step

First Step: Complete the short Qualification Questionnaire to let us know who you are. While we are checking on your qualification for the program you can hang out in the Campus Lobby (First Access Level) and mess with the stuff that we have provided there for HVAC technicians.

Second Step

Second Step: If you qualify, you will receive an email notice that your access has been elevated to the Second Access Level. When you log in again you will have access to the TCA (Technical Core Assessment) level. The TCA is an assessment (a series of assessment sections) designed to find out how much you already know about HVAC. If you wish to become NATE certified you must take the TCA so we can figure out the best education track to put you on. Once your TCAis complete, you will receive an email from us that will be your PEP (Personal Education Plan) and you will also be given access to the third level (Course Level) of the campus. The PEP is your track to becoming a Certified Technician.

Third Step: At the Third Access Level, a list of partner community colleges in the SCE service area will be available for you to choose from. You can choose your school and be enrolled into your HVAC certification track. You will be limited to one course or review at a time and must complete it before you will be enrolled into the next course on your PEP. Some technicians will have a few; others will have more, it all depends on your TCA. Remember, the most important step is the first one or you won't get anywhere.

Fourth Step

Fourth Step: Once you complete all the courses and/or reviews on your PEP you will be fully prepared to take your NATE Certification Exam. You will be issued a voucher for your exam and be provided with a list of authorized and proctored testing locations, when you accomplish your goals, in the Third Access Level.

The Goal is to get you Industry Certified!
